Duke Pre-College Middle School Programs - Application

Welcome to our electronic application for Duke Pre-College Middle School Programs!

Students who are in grades 6th - 8th during the 2021-2022 school year who are living and/or studying in the United States during the time of the program are eligible to apply.  

This application will close at 11:59 pm (Eastern Standard Time) on the following dates: June 5, 2022 (Session I), June 19, 2022 (Session II), July 3, 2022 (Session III)   or when program spaces are filled.

Key Dates

• Friday, May 20, 2022: Final payment due for Session I (June 19  – July 1)
• Friday, June 3, 2022: Final payment due for Session II (July 3 - July 15)
• Sunday, June 5, 2022: Session I Application Deadline
• Friday, June 17, 2022: Final payment due for Session III (July 17 - July 29)
• Sunday, June 19, 2022: Session I (July 19 – July 30) courses begin
• Sunday, June 19, 2022: Session II Application Deadline
• Friday, July 1, 2022: Session I residential students depart campus by noon
• Sunday, July 3, 2022: Session II (July 3 - July 15) courses begin
• Sunday, July 3, 2022:  Session III Application Deadline
• Friday, July 15, 2022: Session II residential students depart campus by noon
• Sunday, July 17, 2022: Session III (July 19 – July 30) courses begin
• Friday, July 30, 2022: Session III residential students depart campus by noon

Program Application Fee:

There is a non-refundable $75 fee due upon application.

Program Fee:

A non-refundable deposit of $300 per session is due two weeks after your acceptance to the program. This deposit reserves your space in the course. The remaining balance is due no later than: 

• May 20, 2022 for Session I courses;

• June 3, 2022 for Session II courses.

• June 17, 2022 for Session III courses.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations made prior to the dates outlined above (two weeks prior to the start date of the course) will result in a full refund, less the $300 non-refundable deposit fee. Refunds are not available if the cancellation is made within two weeks of the course start date.

Financial Aid

The deadline for financial aid is April 15, 2022.
