Summer Session Visiting Student - High School

Welcome to our Visiting High School Student Application for Duke Summer Session!

When you add this application, you will be prompted to create a Youth Participant account in our system. If you have any technical problems, please email learnmore@duke.edu and we'll be happy to assist you.

Application Deadlines:

• Term 2 application due by Monday, June 17

Your Summer Session application is considered complete and ready for review when you have submitted the following:

• The completed online application
• Supporting documents
• $50 nonrefundable application fee

Before beginning the Summer Session application, please know the following information:

• Do you intend to take classes online, or do you plan to commute to Duke?
• The course or courses you wish to take. Select your course(s) by carefully reviewing the courses on the Summer Session website.

Once your Summer Session application is complete and has been reviewed, we will email your admission decision. If you accept the offer of admission, you will receive a confirmation letter, fee statement, and participation agreement.

Important Notes about Course Selection:

• Not all courses on the schedule are open to visiting high school students. For example, courses that are associated with the Medical School, Nursing, Fuqua School of Business, Divinity School are not available. Please use the High School Summer Session website to select your course. We will email you if you need to select a different course. 
• Carefully review course meeting pattern details. If you do not plan to commute to Duke, please be sure that the course you select is entirely online. 
• Look for course prerequisites. We will review your transcript for required prerequisites.
