Course Description

The Duke Summer Coding Camp will provide high school students throughout the United States the opportunity to learn computational thinking and the basics of programming with Python through a 3-week educational summer program.  The Summer Coding Camp will be primarily online through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities, culminating in a final capstone day on the Duke campus (in-person attendance is optional).  The camp is a joint effort between Duke Learning Innovation & Lifetime Education and the Duke Pratt School of Engineering.  Students who complete the camp will receive a Certificate of Completion from Duke.

Any rising 10th through 12th grade student in the United States are welcome to participate.  We especially encourage participants from underrepresented groups in computing.  Registration will be open, with no application process, until the camp fills.
