Did somebody tell your board members a little white lie by informing them that, "Oh come on, join us on the Board! Really, you won't have to do anything!" Now you're wondering how to provide them with all of the information they really do need to know to become active and engaged board members. We'll learn how to communicate your organization's mission with your board members and how to help them understand their job descriptions. The class will also cover the Top 10 Board Responsibilities and board / staff role distinctions. Participants will learn how to help board members become more familiar with the workings of 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 corporations, public documents, fiduciary responsibilities and more.
