Course Description

The Legal Nurse Consulting program is designed for the Registered Nurse (RN) interested in learning how to apply their nursing acumen for analysis of health care issues and their related outcome for the legal profession or other health care organizations. Are you curious about the law and its application to standards of nursing care? Are you looking for a way to enhance your clinical work or to take your nursing career to a new level?

This virtual (live, online) program is offered via Zoom and taught by a diverse group of RNs with experience consulting in the areas in in which they teach. An active US RN License is required for admission to this program and will be requested for submittal during the registration process.

 

 

Prerequisites

All registrants must have an active US state or multi-state registered nurse license.

Recommendations

  • Recommend a minimum of 2000 hours of work experience as an RN
  • Recognition/aptitude and comfort level in learning to "market/brand" yourself in a consultant role
  • Fluency in English (including reading and writing)
  • Computer literacy, internet access, and valid email account required
  • Payment of tuition in advance of program start (except in a case where a loan payment may be received from an agency after the start of the program).

    * Please note that the qualifications for our program differ from the qualifications necessary to apply for the LNCC examination.

Legal Nurse Consulting,: Principles and Practices, Third  or Fourth Edition are recommended for this class but not required. Preference would be the 4th edition
