Hands-On Woodworking with Bull City Woodshop
Join fellow makers for a small-group, beginner-friendly woodworking workshop at Bull City Woodshop in Durham. Each session focuses on a single project that you’ll complete and take home the same day. Instructors provide step-by-step guidance on tool use, safety, and finishing techniques.

No experience is needed, and all tools and materials are provided. Class size is limited to ensure plenty of individual attention — just wear closed-toe shoes and get ready to create.

Spend a morning in the woodshop learning the fundamentals of woodworking as you craft a butterfly house— perfect for the pollinators in your yard. Guided by experienced instructors from Bull City Woodshop, you’ll learn how to measure, cut, assemble, and finish your project using basic tools and techniques.

This hands-on workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate learners and limited to a small group to ensure plenty of individual attention. All tools and materials are provided — just wear closed-toe shoes and be ready to roll up your sleeves. You’ll leave with a finished keepsake box and new skills to build on.

Workshops are held at Bull City Woodshop, 1912 E Pettigrew St. Durham, NC 27703. They are between Bacon St and Driver St on E Pettigrew, just east of the Green Flea Market. Parking is available onsite.
