Course Description

Want to master your devices and make new friends along the way? Join the Digital Explorers SIG! This highly welcoming group is a fantastic place to connect with fellow OLLI members while getting a better handle on the digital world.

  • All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you're a tech novice or a seasoned user, your perspective is highly valued here!
  • Community-Driven Topics: We pick our focus together. The group spends time each meeting discussing and deciding via consensus what topics or services we will explore next.
  • Past Topics Explored: Past sessions have included core discussions on hardware, software, the Internet, and the Cloud—covering practical skills like managing files, using browsers/search engines, and handling security or privacy concerns (such as passkeys).
  • Hands-On & Expert-Led: Facilitated by a software engineer with 35 years of experience, we dive into discussions and "hands-on" practice with our own devices, tackling everything from daily tech uses to how these digital technologies work.
  • Small & Supportive: We limit our group size so everyone gets a chance to ask questions, share insights, and overcome their specific tech challenges.
