IN PERSON: Have you thought about the physical as well as the emotional impacts of grief? In this lecture-based course, we will turn our attention to the process of grieving. Topics will include the exploration of models and cycles of grief as well as how grief affects the brain and body. We will also explore how grief affects children and families. Students will learn about the difference between grief, complicated grief and post-traumatic stress. Along the way, we will address the healing process and the variables that impact healing and recovery. While this is not intended to be a grief support group, there will be opportunities for facilitated discussions. | Lecture + Q&A.
