IN PERSON: You don’t need a perfect concept to start writing — just a way in. This course offers a wide array of prompts designed to spark creativity, from responding to music, images and artworks to experimenting with form, close observation and crafting real or imaginary maps. Through playful explorations of dialogue, description and more, participants will write freely and fully in a welcoming environment of creative camaraderie. Emphasis is on unlocking each student's unique voice and developing ideas organically, sharing pieces of work along the way. By the end of the course, students will have a toolbox of techniques to inspire and sustain their writing journey. Students should bring their favorite materials for writing by hand, even if they also bring a laptop or tablet. | Facilitated discussion, Active Skill Learning.
