IN PERSON: This course invites students to reflect on momentous events in their lives and use them as the foundation for their narratives. We will explore the concept of turning points and how they can serve as jumping-off points for memoir writing. Students will focus on storytelling elements such as vivid description, scene creation and writing styles that engage readers. The course also emphasizes fostering a supportive environment where writers feel comfortable sharing their stories. Class sessions will include sharing work, providing and receiving feedback, and responding to in-class writing prompts. | Facilitated discussion.
