Course Description

IN PERSON: Have you always wanted to practice yoga but felt intimidated by its portrayal in the media? Have you thought, “I could never do yoga,” yet wished you could? If you've found beginner classes too overwhelming, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Join the instructor, an integrative yoga therapist with over 20 years of experience teaching those over 60, for this course. You’ll learn how to practice gentle, effective yoga while sitting in a chair, which will empower you to embrace yoga's benefits. You'll build body awareness, improve your balance, enhance your confidence, and boost your strength and flexibility. Most of the session will focus on seated yoga and small standing movements. The instructor's clear instructions and demonstrations, and gentle hands-on support when needed, make yoga accessible to everyone. No prior experience is required. Participants should wear comfortable, stretchy clothing and get ready to enjoy the transformative power of yoga in a welcoming environment. | Active Skill Learning.
