IN PERSON: Yoga is an ancient practice. It merges body movements, breath control, and stillness to enhance overall health. Yoga’s key upside is aligning the chakras. The chakras are the seven main energy centers, like "spinning wheels," along the spine that represent physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of our lives; each has a color, a location, and associated organs. Yoga aims to keep the chakras open and balanced, as blockages can cause imbalances, while proper alignment promotes health, well-being, and self-realization. Our chakras influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and thus our inner balance, tranquility, and peace. The word "granthi" is Sanskrit for knot and is used for the stuck places in our chakras where our central axis gets knotted up and does not allow our breath to pass through. The goal of this course is to have students untie these knots, creating an intense flow of energy, opening all the chakras, and developing and keeping a good sense of self. | Active Skill Learning.
