ONLINE: This course expands on a previous OLLI course that focused on expressing photographic vision through image selection and sequencing. The emphasis now shifts to constructing images to develop a visual narrative. A constructed image combines multiple visual elements to tell a story, such as blending images of people and places separated by time or geography. Students will learn how to develop a pictorial storyline and create images that support it. Participants should have a RAW-capable digital camera and basic familiarity with Lightroom and Photoshop. Instruction will cover techniques such as subject selection and manipulation, color blending or replacement, use of gradients, and cropping strategies. As some methods may be new to students, the instructor will be available for online one-on-one consultations to support students' learning. This course is best suited for those with some experience with photography. | Facilitated discussion, Active Skill Learning.
