IN PERSON: Have you ever wondered what goes on in Duke University’s world-class research labs? Each week, students will visit one of the many unique research labs on Duke’s campus to find out. Participants will meet over coffee on West Campus to review the day's itinerary before heading out to explore. We will visit places such as the human patient simulator and surgical training lab, the research greenhouse, the electron microscope lab, the virtual reality (VR) lab, and the remote-tracking lab for marine life. At many of the stops, there will be opportunities for hands-on experiences. Participants will get a glimpse into the diverse world of Duke research. Staying for lunch afterward at the award-winning Brodhead Center (a food hall modeled on the Eataly experience in New York City) or at another campus eatery is optional. | Facilitated discussion, Active Skill Learning.
Max enrollment: 10.
