ONLINE: This course invites you to move beyond simply taking pictures and into the art of digital photography. You’ll learn how to transform everyday scenes into compelling digital photographs by considering composition, light, color, creative perspective, and intent. This course emphasizes creativity over equipment. Whether you're using a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or smartphone, you will learn how to see like an artist, experiment with intention, and refine your images through thoughtful editing. By the end of the course, you’ll understand not only how to capture stunning photographs but also how to create images that evoke emotion, communicate ideas, and stand out as true expressions of digital art. Each week, class will begin with a guided discussion on one of the above concepts. Students will then share their work that explores the concepts discussed in the previous weeks of class.
