Course Description

This course is designed to educate mid and upper level management as to the basic fundamentals of facility management.  A lack of practical experience in operational facilities support often requires CEO's to rely heavily upon the judgment and recommendations of his or her Facility Manager.  While dependence upon the capability of the Facility's staff is critical to an effective operation, the CEO should be aware of the basic concepts and principles involved with facility management. Topics of discussion include but are not limited to such areas as maintenance, housekeeping, security, safety, disaster preparedness, construction planning and sustainable resource management.
