Course Description

As a manager, if there are tasks that you currently do that others can or should do, this workshop will help you to uncover them and plan for how to delegate to others, including volunteers. This workshop can help you to identify what situational factors suggest when to and when not to delegate, understand barriers to and benefits of delegating, choose the right tasks to delegate, delegate tasks to the right people, apply an effective step-by-step process for successful and mutually beneficial delegation, identify the appropriate amount of authority to delegate with a task, determine necessary expectations and commitments, and assess consequences and outcomes of delegated actions.
